What’s the quickest way to start an Inspection?

On our iOS application you can use the Quick Inspection feature to start inspections straight from your property or unit list, saving so much time! Just slide a property to the left to reveal the green Quick Inspection tab, tap it and then start inspecting.

How do I start a new inspection?

On your iPhone or iPad start inspections by tapping into the property or unit you'll be inspecting, then pressing the plus icon (+) up the top right, and Start a New Inspection. Or you can start from your list of previous inspections by tapping the plus icon (+) and then Start a New Inspection. 

On Android you can start a new inspection by tapping into the property or unit you'll be inspecting, then tapping the green, floating action button down the bottom right corner and Start a New Inspection.

I'm trying to start an inspection but my app is 'locked', why can't I start the inspection?

First, check if you're viewing one of your templates. If the titlebar at the top of your app is blue, then you're viewing one of your templates. Unfortunately, you can't start an inspection from a template screen, you'll need to exit this screen and start an inspection from a unit or property. Follow the steps above in 'How do I start an inspection?' If the titlebar is green, then you're on the right track.

How do I copy a previous inspection?

Copying a previous inspection is a feature of iOS only at this point. Find the property you want to inspect, tap into it. Tap the plus icon for new inspections then tap Copy a Previous Inspection and select the one you want to copy. Look out for the Copy Options down the lower left corner of the window to select what you want to bring into the new inspection from the last one.

How do I copy a previous inspection that’s not synced to my device?

You can only copy a previous inspection and it’s data if you have the inspection synced to your device. If the inspection you want to copy has a pale green (for completed inspection) or pale orange (for draft inspection) icon and the words ‘tap to download’ underneath the date of the inspection, make sure you’re connected to the internet in order to copy that inspection.

How do I copy a previous inspection’s photos, ratings and notes?

When you tap Copy a Previous Inspection and the window pops up asking you to select the inspection you would like to copy, look for the Copy Options down the lower left. When you tap Copy Options, you’ll see three switches that let you copy the last inspections Ratings, Photos and Notes and bring them into the new inspection.

How do I schedule a future inspection?

You can schedule future inspections in the property detail screen of your iOS app by tapping the plus icon, then Schedule a Future Inspection. Providing the date of when you would like to do it and the template you would like to use then saves the inspection back to the list of inspections. On Android it’s much the same.
