Overview
You can now automatically sync photos and attachments between Yardi and HappyCo Work Orders.
Photos added in Yardi will appear in the corresponding HappyCo Work Order—and vice versa—ensuring your team has access to the full context of every job, no matter which platform they’re using. This saves time, reduces communication gaps, and gives your team a single, up-to-date source of truth for maintenance documentation.
How it works
Once enabled, the integration keeps photos and attachments in sync between both platforms.
- Photos and attachments added in Yardi will automatically pull into the corresponding Work Order in HappyCo.
- Photos and attachments added in HappyCo will push back to the matching Work Order in Yardi.
This bidirectional sync ensures that no matter where your team adds documentation, it’s available in both systems. That means less back-and-forth, less duplication, and more confidence that nothing gets missed.
NOTE: If a photo or attachment is deleted in HappyCo, it will remain visible in Yardi. Deletions do not sync.
How to set it up
To get started, you or your internal Yardi administrator will need to complete the following steps. If you need help, please contact your HappyCo Customer Success Manager or Support team.
Step 1: Verify ‘HappyCo Service Request’ package is installed
You should already have the HappyCo Service Requests (happyco9) package installed from launch.
Verify the security group the HappyCo vendor interface user belongs to has the following access:
- Read/Write Access to all permissions associated with ‘Interfaces: Web Service - Common Data’
- Read/Write Access to all permissions associated with ‘Interfaces: Web Service - Service Request’
- Read access to ‘Property-Interface_Configuration’ permission
Step 2: Interface Configuration
This part of our integration utilizes the Service Request interface.
When configuring this interface for our HappyCo vendor package please ensure settings are configured as follows:
Service Request Interface
- File Extension Export Permissions has all Extensions set to ‘Read’ Access
- This ensures HappyCo can view all possible Photo/Attachment types when syncing Work Orders
- Import/Export Attachment Types are all Selected (Highlighted)
- This allows HappyCo to sync all Work Order Photos/Attachments between HappyCo and Yardi
Bulk configure the properties that will be live in HappyCo. There is a bulk configure properties option on the side bar > Interfaces (if you are not seeing Interfaces, revert to Basic iData) > Configuration > Bulk Property Configuration. The interface config screen will prompt and allow you to enter the property list, select Service Requests interface and find/select the available agency 'HappyCo Service Request'.
