HappyCo offers two ways to connect third-party software to your account. Both are free — the right choice depends on your situation.
Option 1: Plugin Partnership (Recommended)
If you have a software provider who needs access to your HappyCo data, we can work with them directly to build a certified Plugin. You just introduce us to your point of contact at the provider, and HappyCo handles the rest.
Once set up, the Plugin connects to your account after you subscribe to it in the Plugin Marketplace. The provider can then pull data, push data, and add their own custom data fields to your HappyCo records — no technical work required on your end.
To get started, reach out to your HappyCo Customer Success Manager with the name of the provider and a point of contact.
Option 2: Customer API Access
Every HappyCo customer has free access to our GraphQL API. If your team has a developer, they can use the API to pull data from and push data to your HappyCo account — building whatever custom workflow or integration makes sense for your needs.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to pay for API access? No. API access is included in your HappyCo subscription at no additional cost — for both customers building their own integrations and Plugin Partners building on the platform.
Do I need to pay for Plugins? Subscribing to a Plugin in the HappyCo Marketplace is free. However, Plugin Partners are independent companies with their own products and pricing. While there's no charge on HappyCo's side, a Plugin Partner may require their own subscription, contract, or fee arrangement to use their service. Check directly with the Plugin Partner for details.
Can my software provider use the Customer API instead of becoming a Plugin Partner? Technically yes, but it's not recommended. Plugin Partner credentials are scoped specifically to their Plugin and only to customers who subscribe, which is a more secure arrangement. We encourage introducing your provider to us so we can set them up correctly.
Can I use both options at the same time? Yes. You can have a Plugin Partner integration running for one provider while your team uses the Customer API for a separate custom workflow.
How do I find out if my software provider is already a Plugin Partner? Ask your HappyCo Customer Success Manager — they can check the Plugin Marketplace and let you know if a Plugin already exists for your provider.
