Overview
Once Cost Capture is configured in HappyCo, resident charges captured during a move-out inspection can post automatically to the resident's ledger in Entrata — no manual re-entry required. This article covers the Entrata-specific configuration needed to enable that connection.
Prerequisites
Before completing the steps below, make sure the following are in place:
- Your core Entrata integration is already set up. If not, start with Setting up your Entrata Integration →
- Contact your Customer Success Manager to have the enabled for your account
How it Works
For a full overview of the Cost Capture workflow — including how to configure cost sheets, the approval workflow, and how charges are captured during inspections — see Cost Capture & Integrated Resident Charges →
This article covers the Entrata-specific steps required to connect that feature to your Entrata account.
How to Set it Up
Your internal Entrata administrator must complete the following steps in Entrata.
Step 1: Grant Billing Permissions to the HappyCo Application
In Entrata, navigate to Apps > API Access and locate the HappyCo application. Grant HappyCo access to the following API endpoints:
View required API endpoints
| Web Service | Endpoint | Needed For |
|---|---|---|
| AR Codes | getArCodes | Resident Chargebacks |
| AR Transactions | sendLeaseArTransactions | Resident Chargebacks |
Step 2: Enable the Feature in HappyCo
Contact your HappyCo Customer Success Manager or HappyCo Support to have Resident Chargebacks enabled for your Entrata integration.
