Access Admin Center from Happy Asset:

  • From any screen in Happy Asset, in the upper right section of the screen, click the cog icon to the right of the bell icon.
  • This will redirect you to Admin Center
  • Next on the left-hand side of the screen click Roles (which opens below Users)
  • From here you can follow the below instructions on how to create new roles

Using existing roles:

You can assign a user role by clicking on the user > Role Management.

Here you will see the list of default roles for Happy Asset:

  • Administrator
    • Abilities:
      • Access the Admin Center
        • Create new roles
        • Assign permissions to roles
      • Manage Integration Configs
      • Access Integration Configs
      • Access the End User Permission Management
      • Configure SSO for a business
      • Configure Roles for a business
      • Property Provisioning
      • All remaining Happy Asset permissions
  • Process Manager
    • Abilities: 
      • All remaining Happy Asset permissions
  • Standard
    • Abilities
      • All remaining Happy Asset permissions
  • Limited
    • Abilities
      • No Happy Asset permissions

Happy Asset default custom roles:

  • Capital Project Manager
    • Abilities:
      • View & Edit Capital Projects
      • View & Edit Fixed Assets
  • Unit Renovation Manager
    • Abilities:
      • View & Edit Unit Renovations
      • View & Edit Units
  • Budgets Manager
    • View & Edit Budgets + Proforma 
    • Edit Chart of Accounts
  • Procurement Manager
    • Edit & Approve/Void Invoices
    • Edit & Approve/Void Purchase Orders
  • Reporting Viewer:
    • View Data and Insights

You can view the details of the Happy Asset permissions that apply to each role by clicking Roles > Administrator > scrolling to the bottom.

Below is the list of actions that can be enabled/disabled by permissions.

Creating a new role:

If you would like to build your own roles or customize our standard roles, that can be done using the following process:

Option 1

  • Click the New Role button in the top right corner of the pageScreen Shot 2023-08-07 at 10.59 1.png
  • Select a new role from the list of roles (roles are a template of permissions that can be changed)
  • Type a name for the role
  • Type a description for the role
  • Select which permissions you would like the role to have
  • To create the role, click the Add Role button

Option 2

  • On any existing role, click the three vertical dots icon to the right of the role

  • Type a new name for the role
  • Type a new description for the role
  • Select which permissions you would like the role to have
  • To create the role, click the Add Role button
