Overview

Work Order Photo Sync keeps photos and attachments in sync between HappyCo and Yardi — bidirectionally. Photos added in Yardi appear in the corresponding HappyCo work order, and photos added in HappyCo push back to Yardi. Your team gets full documentation in both systems, no matter which platform they're working in.


Prerequisites

  • Your core Yardi integration must already be set up. If not, start with Setting up your Yardi Integration →
  • Your Yardi environment must be on Service Requests version Plv21 or higher. Contact your Yardi representative to confirm your version and arrange an upgrade if needed.

How it Works

Once enabled, photos and attachments sync bidirectionally between HappyCo and Yardi:

  • Photos and attachments added in Yardi automatically appear in the corresponding work order in HappyCo
  • Photos and attachments added in HappyCo push back to the matching work order in Yardi

Note: If a photo or attachment is deleted in HappyCo, it will remain visible in Yardi. Deletions do not sync.


How to Set it Up

Your internal Yardi administrator must complete the following steps in Yardi.

Step 1: Update the Service Request Interface Configuration

In the Service Request interface for the HappyCo Service Request (happyco9) vendor package, update the following settings:

  • File Extension Export Permissions — set all extensions to Read access. This allows HappyCo to view all photo and attachment types when syncing work orders.
  • Import/Export Attachment Types — select all attachment types. This enables HappyCo to sync all work order photos and attachments in both directions.

Step 2: Bulk Configure Properties

Bulk configure all properties that will use Work Order Photo Sync in HappyCo. In Yardi's sidebar, go to Interfaces (switch to Basic iData if Interfaces isn't visible) > Configuration > Bulk Property Configuration. Enter your property list, select the Service Requests interface, and select the HappyCo Service Request agency.

Step 3: Enable the Feature in HappyCo

Contact your CSM or support@happy.co to request that Work Order Photo Sync is enabled for your business.
