Overview

Make Ready Sync connects HappyCo's work order completion to RealPage's unit readiness tracking. When a unit turn is complete in HappyCo, the corresponding Make Ready in RealPage is automatically closed and the unit is marked as Ready for Occupancy — eliminating the need to manually update RealPage when a turn is done.

How it Works

When a resident is put on notice in RealPage, RealPage automatically creates a Make Ready service request. That service request syncs to HappyCo as a work order with the category Make Ready Complete - Update RealPage.

This work order stays open in HappyCo until your team marks it complete — signaling that the unit turn is finished. Completing it in HappyCo marks the Make Ready service request as complete in RealPage. When the last Make Ready service request closes, RealPage automatically checks the Make Unit Ready for Occupancy box and sets the unit's Ready Date to the current day.

How to Set it Up

To enable Make Ready Sync, your RealPage administrator must complete the following steps in RealPage.

Step 1: Enable Make Ready Automation Settings

In RealPage, navigate to General Property > Facilities > Make Ready and enable the following settings:

  • Make ready requests will be completed automatically when the last make ready service request or inspection checklist item is completed
  • Make ready requests will be automatically created when a notice to move out or a notice to transfer is submitted
  • Make ready requests will be automatically created when move out or transfer is submitted

Step 2: Remove Additional Make Ready Activities

HappyCo creates one work order per Make Ready service request. To ensure only a single work order is created per unit turn, only one Make Ready activity should be active in RealPage. Disable or remove all additional Make Ready activities.

Step 3: Enable the Feature in HappyCo

Contact your HappyCo Customer Success Manager or HappyCo Support to have Make Ready Sync enabled for your RealPage integration.
