Overview
This article covers how to configure Resident Alerts and create Community Broadcasts within Call Complete in Manage.
Key Concepts
- Resident Alert: An audio file that plays at the beginning of the IVR menu. It is only heard by residents who select the Maintenance option when calling in.
- Community Broadcast: A scheduled message sent out to residents via call, SMS, or email.
Requirements
- To set up a Community Broadcast, the Community Broadcast option must be enabled for your property.
Steps
Setting up a Resident Alert
- Log into Manage, select your property, and click on the Call Complete tab under Apps.
- Select the Notify tab, which will default to the Resident Alert view.
- Enter your alert message into the Message box.
- Toggle the option for Enable Resident Alert for all calls.
- Note: Your message is not live until this option is enabled and saved.
- Click the blue Save button in the lower right corner.
Creating a Community Broadcast
- Log into Manage, select your property, and click on the Call Complete tab under Apps.
- Select the Notify tab.
- Click on the purple Resident Alert box to open a drop-down menu and select Community Broadcast.
- Select the teal Create a Broadcast button on the left side of the page.
- In the new window, select your broadcast creation method:
- Create audio from text: Can be used for call, SMS, and email broadcasts.

Record your own audio: Can only be used for call broadcasts.
- Follow the respective path below based on your selection:
Option A: Create Audio From Text
- Select the Create Message button under the Create audio from text window.
- Enter a name for the broadcast and the message you wish to deliver in the corresponding boxes.
- Select the delivery method by clicking the toggle button beside Phone, SMS, or Email.
- If Phone is selected: A drop-down menu will appear where you can select from 3 voice options and listen to a preview.
- Click the Next button.
- On the Schedule tab, select the Date and Time for your broadcast.
- If Phone is selected: You will also have a Duration option for the number of days the broadcast should continue.
- Click the Next button.
- On the Recipients tab, choose who will receive the broadcast:
- To select all residents: Click the circle icon beside Name to toggle the checkmark and automatically select all residents listed.

To select individual residents: Click the circle icon next to their name in the list. You can also use the search bar to locate residents by name, building, or unit.
- Click the blue Finish button in the lower right corner of the box.
Option B: Record Your Own Audio
- Select the Record Message button under the Record your own audio window.
- Call the provided number and enter the PIN# provided on the Message tab.
- Once you have completed your message, if the screen does not refresh, select the click here button.
- Click the Next button.
- On the Schedule tab, select the Date, Time, and Duration for your broadcast, then click Next.
- On the Recipients tab, choose who will receive the broadcast:
- To select all residents: Click the circle icon beside Name to toggle the checkmark and automatically select all residents listed.

- Click the blue Finish button in the lower right corner of the box.
FAQs
Who can hear a Resident Alert?
A Resident Alert is only heard by residents who select the Maintenance option when calling in.
Why isn't my Resident Alert playing for callers?
Your message is not live until the Enable Resident Alert for all calls option is toggled on and you have clicked the blue Save button.
Can I use my own recorded audio for an email or SMS broadcast?
No. The Record your own audio feature can only be used for call broadcasts. If you want to send a broadcast via SMS or email, you must select the Create audio from text option.
