The HappyCo Maintenance app has an exciting new feature that makes capturing completion notes faster and easier! — simply speak to your phone with Joy Assist: Voice Chat in the mobile app.
Benefits of Enabling
- Capture completion notes hands-free with your voice — no typing required
- Eliminate incomplete or missing notes caused by time pressure, dirty hands, or language barriers
- Generate clearer, more detailed notes that help supervisors assess work quality and technician performance
- Improve accountability and productivity by making note-taking faster and more natural
- Drive consistency across teams with structured completion notes logged automatically in the task history
How to Enable
- In manage.happyco.com, go to Settings → Admin Center → Release Updates
- Search for "Joy Assist: Voice Chat in the mobile app"
- Click to open and then choose "Enable" at the bottom
How It Works
Note: User MUST be online to use Joy Assist: Voice Chat in the mobile app
Tap “Complete” in the mobile app on a Work Order
Tap "Joy AI" (Microphone) button - (under the "Details of the work" section)
Accept the Android or iOS disclaimers for microphone and AI use (note: Joy Assist: Voice Chat in the mobile app will NOT be available if these requests are denied)
Tap the Joy Ai button
Speak naturally into your device. Try to cover the topics shown. The transcription will happen in real-time
When you are finished, you can stay silent or tap the forward arrow button
Joy will auto-detect if you covered all the required topics and summarize the transcript. You can use the summary by tapping "Use This" or scroll down to see and use the direct transcript by tapping "Use this".
If you missed some detail, you can tap "Add more". Joy will add anything you say to the original message.
Choose the summary or a transcript to add it to the work order OR exit the experience by tapping the "x" in the top left corner.

Joy will add the summary to the "Details of work" section. Tap "complete" as usual to finish off the work order.
