HPMA 2.19.0 — coming Wednesday 24 June 2026

What's new

Tasks default to "Turn" — Creating a task from inside a Project now defaults the work order type to Turn, so you spend less time setting it each time.

Project list filters follow you — The filters you set on your Project list now travel with your account across devices, so your view stays consistent wherever you sign in.

Refreshed Project list — Project list cards have a cleaner, easier-to-scan look.

What's been fixed

Inspection templates — Templates no longer go missing after a sync interruption, and the template selector now reliably shows the templates available to you.

Stability and crashes — Resolved several issues that could cause the app to crash or behave unexpectedly, with a particular focus on iOS.

Faster, cleaner syncing — Cut down on redundant background network activity when opening property locations, so the app loads and syncs more efficiently.

Permissions — Corrected an issue so access is now scoped to the right business.

  • Day 1: 2% of users
  • Day 2: 5% of users

HPMA 2.18.0 — released Wednesday 10 June 2026

What's new

Faster sync in work and project views — Sync in work-assignment and project-board views now runs more efficiently on locations with lots of data, so these screens load and refresh faster.

Faster inspection duplication — Duplicating an inspection is now noticeably faster, including very large inspections that previously could be slow or fail to duplicate.

Available in Early Access

Early Access features are off by default. Account admins can switch any of these on from Admin Centre → Release Updates. Once enabled, the feature is available to your team on next sync.

Native camera — final areas now in Early Access — Profile photo capture and camera-first inspection now use the new native camera on iOS and Android. With these two areas in this release, every camera in the HPMA app is now on the new native camera experience. Profile photo capture also includes face detection that disables the capture button until a face is in frame.

Add Work Order to Project — You can now add a work order to a Project directly from mobile in two ways: add an existing Work Order to a Project and assign it to a Project Stage, or create a new work order straight into a Project. A new button on the Project Detail screen opens Create work order pre-filled with the current project.

Save inspection photos to your camera roll — A new setting lets you save photos taken in an inspection to your phone's camera roll. Photos still sync to HappyCo as they do today.

Upgraded search, filter, and sort — Extended filter and sort options are now available on the Work Orders, Inspections, and Projects pages, building on the new search and filter controls introduced earlier this year. You can filter and sort your lists by more criteria to find what you need faster.

What's been fixed

Inspection detail crash — Fixed a crash that could occur on the inspection detail screen when interacting with it as the screen was closing.

Messages tab crash — Fixed a repetitive crash in the Messages tab that could happen when a Send-to-Resident message took too long to send and you had navigated away.

Sync slowdown and memory use — Fixed an issue where syncing your locations could trigger duplicate calls and consume extra memory over time.

Locale crash on uncommon languages — Fixed a crash on devices set to a language not bundled with the app. Dates now fall back to a safe locale.

Camera permission crash — Fixed a repetitive crash that could happen when the camera was opened without both camera and microphone permissions granted. The app now prompts for the missing permission before opening the camera.

Image load crash on iOS — Fixed crashes that could happen on iOS when a cached image failed to load.

Inspection load errors after sync — Fixed an issue that could cause inspections to be saved in a state that prevented them from being loaded again.

Rollout

Phased Rollout Schedule (iOS & Android):

  • Day 1: 2% of users
  • Day 2: 5% of users
  • Days 3-7: Accelerated rollout to reach 100%

HPMA 2.17.0 — released Wednesday 27 May 2026

Available in Early Access

Early Access features are off by default. Account admins can switch any of these on from Admin Centre → Release Updates. Once enabled, the feature is available to your team on next sync.

Native camera for HPMA — a new camera built on your phone's native capture stack with a familiar, simple interface, improved zoom and lens controls, and persistent flash and lens preferences across sessions. Captures both photo and video with no loss of functionality from your phone's built-in camera.

Video attachments on work orders — record video on a work order, capture a still mid-recording, and play it back from the activity attachments grid. Video is now supported everywhere photos are, following video support on inspections in the previous release.

What's been fixed

Smoother task comments — tapping Add Comment in quick succession no longer creates duplicate comments.

Property card overflow stripe fixed — property and access-control cards on the access-context screen no longer show a yellow and black overflow stripe when the property name wraps to two lines.

Blank section crash fixed — adding a blank section on the inspection detail screen no longer crashes when you save the section name.

iPad mini camera preview centred — the camera preview is now correctly centred on iPad mini.

Task re-completion fixed — completing a previously-completed task without re-capturing a photo no longer silently fails. Tasks reliably complete in this flow.

Resident activity restored — resident comments, messages, and attachments on work orders are visible again in HPMA for businesses that don't have the resident messaging feature, matching what's shown on the web.

Due Diligence notifications fixed — HPMA no longer receives push notifications meant for Due Diligence businesses.

Smoother work list sync for users with restricted access — My Work loads cleanly for users with restricted property access; the access-control errors that used to appear are gone, and the list comes back faster.

Plugin data cards — Cards without a user avatar now display correctly, and tapping a card's action button reliably runs the action it was set up to do.
