Available in HPMA Release 2.16.0 onward

If something in your Happy Property Mobile app looks out of date — for example a template that should be there has disappeared, or an inspection won't launch even though it's set up correctly on the web — you may have a copy of your data on the device that's gone stale.

The new Troubleshooting screen lets you refresh that data in one tap, without signing out and without uninstalling the app.

When to use this

Use the Troubleshooting screen if you're seeing one of these situations:

  • An inspection template you expect to see isn't appearing in the app
  • An inspection won't start because the template looks empty or incomplete
  • A property, unit, or asset that's been shared with you isn't showing up
  • Your data still looks out of date after switching to a different business

For most other issues — login problems, errors syncing your work, or anything that doesn't match the situations above — please contact HappyCo Support first.

Tip: If you've been told by HappyCo Support to "redownload your data," this is the screen they're referring to.

Before you start

  • You're online. Refreshing pulls a fresh copy of your data from our servers.
  • You're on the latest version of the app.

You don't need to clear your sync queue first — any inspections or other work you haven't synced yet will be preserved.

How to refresh your data

  1. Open the Happy Property Mobile app.
  2. Tap your profile icon in the top-right corner.
  3. Under the Support heading, tap Troubleshooting.
  4. Tap Redownload data.
  5. Wait for the refresh to finish. Don't close the app until it's done.

When it's complete, your app will be using a fresh copy of your data from the server. Try the original action again.

 

What this does

  • Replaces the local copy of your data on this device with a fresh copy from HappyCo's servers
  • Makes sure templates, properties, and other items that were shared or updated recently appear correctly
  • Preserves any work you haven't synced yet — pending inspections and other unsynced changes are kept safe

What this does NOT do

  • Does not sign you out
  • Does not change anything for other people in your business
  • Does not delete your account, your settings, or your finished work
  • Does not fix issues caused by missing setup on the web side

  • That you've already tried Redownload data
