Overview

Inspection editing on the HappyCo Property Mobile App has had a major overhaul. You can now edit just about anything on an inspection while you're in the field — add, move, duplicate, rename, and delete sections and items without leaving the job. New overflow (three-dot) menus put every edit where you need it, and a new Jump to button gets you to the right section fast.

How to enable it

This feature is released via Release Updates. To turn it on for your account:

1. In HappyCo Manage, go to Admin Centre > Release Updates.
2. Search for Inspection Editing on Mobile.
3. Switch it on.

Once enabled, the feature is available to your team on next HPMA sync.

How to disable it

Return to Admin Centre > Release Updates, find Inspection Editing on Mobile, and switch it off.

How to edit an inspection

Open an inspection and use the new overflow (three-dot) menus to make your changes. There are three places to edit:

• The menu at the top of the inspection — for whole-inspection actions and Manage Sections.
• The overflow menu next to a section — for section-level actions.
• The overflow menu next to an item — for item-level actions.

The top menu

Tap the overflow (three-dot) menu at the top of the inspection.

• If your account has the duplicate inspection feature switched on, you'll see Duplicate Inspection here. To turn this on, ask your CSM to enable the duplicate inspection feature.
• Otherwise, this menu shows Manage Sections.

Manage Sections

In Manage Sections you can:

• Add sections.
• Move sections using drag and drop.
• Delete sections.
• Move items within their parent section.
• Delete sections and items.

Section actions

Tap the overflow (three-dot) menu next to a section to:

• Add an item to that section
• Add a section above
• Add a section below
• Duplicate the section
• Move the section above or below
• Rename the section
• Delete the section

Item actions

Tap the overflow (three-dot) menu next to an item to:

• Move the item above or below its current position
• Duplicate the item
• Rename the item
• Delete the item

Jump to

Tap the new Jump to button to open a menu of your sections. Choose a section and the inspection jumps straight to it.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why don't I see Duplicate Inspection in the top menu?

The duplicate inspection feature is enabled separately. Ask your CSM to switch it on for your account. Until then, the top menu shows Manage Sections.

Where do I add or reorder sections?

Use Manage Sections from the top menu to add, drag-and-drop to reorder, or delete sections. You can also use the overflow menu next to an individual section.

How do I quickly get to a section?

Tap Jump to, then choose the section you want. The inspection jumps to it immediately.
