Inspection search filters an open or completed inspection's checklist down to the sections and items that match a keyword. Use it to find and mark items without scrolling while you complete an inspection, or to check what was recorded when you audit a past one.

Search and filter items during an inspection
Open the inspection
Open any inspection, open or completed.
Type a keyword in the search bar
Find the search bar at the top of the checklist and type a keyword. Search matches section names and item names.
Tip
For instance, searching Keys matches a Keys and Locks section by name. Searching door leaves only the matching items, which can span several sections.
Mark the filtered items
Mark the items left in the filtered checklist.
Complete Inspection is unavailable while a search is active
Completion checks every section, not just the ones your search shows. Clear the search before you complete the inspection.
Clear the search and complete the inspection
Clear the search
Select the X in the search bar. The full inspection comes back and your answers are kept.
Complete the inspection
Select Complete Inspection, which is available again once the search is cleared.
No matching items
If nothing matches your keyword, you see a No matching items message. Select Clear search to bring every section back.

Open the inspection to review
Open the completed inspection you want to review.
Search for a section or an item
Search for a section name to see a whole section, or for an item name to narrow to a single item, and check what was recorded.

For instance, search Bathroom for a section or Toilet for a single item.
Frequently asked questions
Why can't I complete the inspection while a search is active?
Completion checks every section, not just the ones shown by your search. While a search is filtering the checklist, Complete Inspection is unavailable. Clear the search with the X and Complete Inspection becomes available again.
Does clearing the search lose the answers I entered?
No. When you clear the search, the full inspection returns and your answers are kept.
