When work order types are enabled, default work order types can be defined on each inspection template. Any work order generated by that inspection template will inherit that work order type by default. After creation, all work order types remain editable.
Creating a new Inspection template
To define the default work order type by inspection template:
- Navigate to Settings
- Under Setup select Templates
- Select New template
- The starter template type you select will inherit a default work order type, which is editable:
- Maintenance checklist > Preventative maintenance
- Move in inspection > Turn
- Move out inspection > Turn
- Pre-move out inspection > Turn
- Preventative Maintenance - Unit inspection > Preventative maintenance
- Site Visit Inspection > Preventative maintenance
- Snow Removal Log > Seasonal maintenance
- Sparkle/Final inspection > Turn
- Weekly Light Inspection > Preventative maintenance
- Once created the default work order can be modified by navigating to Template type in the inspection creation drawer and selecting Edit
Editing an existing inspection template
- Navigate to an existing inspection template
- Navigate to Template type
- Select Edit
- From the drop down select the default work order type
- Moving forward, all work orders created using that template will inherit the newly defined work order type
