Introducing Bulk Actions for User Management
We are excited to announce our new feature in User Management: Bulk Actions. This feature is designed to save you time and effort by allowing you to assign additional roles and property access to multiple users at once.
Assigning Additional Roles in Bulk
With Bulk Actions, admins now can assign additional roles to multiple users at once. This not only saves time but also ensures consistency in user management.
Here's how you do it:
1. Navigate to the Admin Center.
2. Go to your Users page.
3. Select the users you want to assign an additional role to using the check box.
4. Click on the 'Add Role' button on the bulk action panel that pops up.
5. Choose the role you want to assign.
6. Click 'Save'.
Your selected users will now have this additional role assigned. If a user already had that role assigned nothing will happen for that user i.e. they will still have that role assigned.
Removing Additional Roles in Bulk (coming April 19, 2024)
Admins are now also able to remove a single role from multiple users simultaneously. Here's how to remove a single role in bulk:
- Navigate to the Admin Center.
- Go to your Users page.
- Select the users you want to remove a role from using the check box.
- Click on the 'Remove Role' button on the bulk action panel that pops up.
- Choose the role you want to remove.
- Click 'Save'.
NOTE: You cannot remove a role from a user if this is their only role, this will present an error and the bulk removal request will be unsuccessful. In cases where a user only has one role and you no longer want them to have access to the product, you can deactivate them.
Assigning Additional Property Access in Bulk
Our new feature also allows admins to grant additional property access to multiple users simultaneously. This is particularly useful for adding one or more additional property accesses to a group of users saving admins significant time.
Here's how to assign property access in bulk:
1. Navigate to the Admin Center.
2. Go to your Users page.
3. Select the users you want to assign additional property access to using the check box.
4. Click on the 'Add Property Access' button on the bulk action panel that pops up.
5. Choose the properties you want to grant access to.
6. Click 'Save'.
Your selected users will now have access to these additional properties. If a user already had access to a property that is assigned nothing will happen for that user i.e. they will still have access to that property.
Note: properties set up for business-wide access automatically grants access to all users.
Removing Additional Properties in Bulk (coming April 19, 2024)
Admins can also remove additional property accesses in bulk from users simultaneously. Here's how to remove property access in bulk:
- Navigate to the Admin Center.
- Go to your Users page.
- Select the users you want to remove property access from using the check box.
- Click on the 'Remove Property Access' button on the bulk action panel that pops up.
- Choose the properties you want to remove property access from.
- Click 'Save'.
Note: properties set up for business-wide access will always automatically grant access to all users. To change this you will need to update your settings for that property.
