Availability: Requires Tasks to be enabled for the account and property. Works in the Tasks mobile app and Manage (web). Users need permission to log time.

 

Track Time on Tasks (Mobile)

Time tracking lets you record how long you spend working on a task directly from the mobile app. Logged time is automatically added to the task’s total.


Start and Stop Time on a Task

Start Work

  1. Open a task in the mobile app.

  2. Tap Start Work.

A red Work in Progress banner appears and stays visible as you navigate the app.
Only one task timer can run at a time.

Stop Work

  1. Tap Stop Work from the banner or from within the task.

  2. The elapsed time is added to the task’s Total Time.


View Logged Time

In the Mobile App

  • After stopping the timer, the task displays the updated Total Time.

In Manage (Web)

  1. Open the property folder.

  2. Select the task.

  3. Update the Total Time hours and minutes (permission required).

  4. Save to apply the changes.


Activity and Auditing

  • The Activity log records:

    • When a timer is started

    • When a timer is stopped

    • Any changes to total time

  • This provides visibility and accountability for time tracked on each task.


Important Notes

  • Time tracking controls are hidden or read-only if:

    • Time tracking is not enabled for the property, or

    • The user does not have permission to track or edit time

  • Timers cannot be started on completed tasks.
