Photo annotation allows you to add text or draw directly on a photo.

Important

  • Annotating a photo will create a duplicate and will not affect the original photo
  • Annotated photos will appear in inspection reports along with the original photo

From an Inspection

  • Open an inspection and tap the camera icon on an inspection item
  • Take a photo or tap an existing photo thumbnail to open the gallery
  • From the photo gallery, tap a photo to open it an annotate the photo

From a work order or project task

  • Open a work order or project task and tap “Photos” in the tab navigation
  • Tap an existing photo or tap “Add a Photo or Document” to take a new photo
  • Once in the camera view, viewing and annotating a photo works in that same way as inspections

How to use photo annotations

  • Tapping a photo in the gallery will open it full screen with an annotation toolbar above the image
  • From here you have options
    • Tap the pencil icon to draw a shape or add text
    • Tap the circle to change the color of any text or shape that you add
    • Tap the paint brush to change the thickness of any line or shape that you add
    • Tap the backwards arrow to undo
    • Tap the x to clear all changes
  • To exit photo annotations
    • Tap the save icon in the top right to save changes
    • Tap the back arrow at the top left. If you have unsaved changes you will be prompted to save to or discard
