The duplicate resident dashboard helps consolidate residents with multiple instances into one account. Email is considered a unique identifier, and duplicates are based on users with the same email address.

Note: The Duplicate Residents Dashboard is only available to customers with an active PMS integration.

Steps

1. Navigate to the Dashboard
   Click on Dashboard from the menu.
   
   
2. Open the Duplicate Residents Dashboard
   When the Dashboard loads, click on Duplicate Resident Dashboard.
   
   
3. Manage Possible Duplicates
   Possible duplicates will display side-by-side. You have two options:
   
   
   1. Merge Duplicates
      Click the These are the Same People button to merge the two accounts.
      
      
   2. Update an Email Address
      Click the Modify Email button to update an email address. The system will now identify these two accounts as separate people.

Troubleshooting

Duplicate Tenant Records in "Residents" Tab

If you're experiencing duplicate tenant records in the "Residents" tab, which may cause issues with monthly rent batches and rent receipts, try the following:

1. Check if the "Inactive Resident After Move Out" option is enabled in your Yuhu Portal. This setting can help prevent past tenants from showing as active.
2. If the option is not enabled or the issue persists, contact Yuhu Group for assistance in removing the duplicate record.
3. As a temporary workaround, manually add the affected tenant to the rent batch to charge their monthly rent.
4. Ensure the duplicate name is removed from the rent receipt to avoid confusion.

Unable to Invite Resident Due to Existing Profile

If you receive a "another profile already exists" message when trying to invite a resident to the Yuhu resident portal:

1. First, check the Duplicate Resident Dashboard for any duplicate accounts that can be merged.
2. If the resident has not applied through Happy Property Leasing, manually invite them by:
   1. Finding their profile in the Residents section
   2. Clicking the "Invite" button at the top of the drawer to send them an invitation
