Property teams can choose whether or not their applicants are be able to submit an appeal to their application denial.
- Navigate to to Settings > Company Preferences
- Set Denial Appeal Enabled to
True - Define the number of hours an applicant has to appeal their application denial
- Select Update Preferences to save your settings
- The Denial Appeal functionality is now enabled for all properties and applications including those already in progress
- From here forward, ff an agent denies an application, they will be prompted to enter:
- A reason (selection from a preset list)
- Provide an explanation, in plain text as to why the application has been denied
- Select Deny application to complete the process
Please note that the "Denial appeal message" will be visible to all applicants within their applicant portal, it will also be appended to the notification applicant(s) receive when their application has been denied
- The application then enters the status
Pending denialand applicant(s) are notified of their denial, including agent instructions/message
- If the application is not re-submitted/appealed by the applicant(s) within the time frame allotted in the configuration, the application will automatically transition to
Denied - If the application is re-submitted/appealed by the applicant(s) then the application transitions to the status
Denial reviewwhere the agent(s) can review any newly submitted information before proceeding
