Overview

This error shows up when your Yardi requires a reason for a work order status (for example, On Hold) and HappyCo sends the work order without one, so Yardi rejects the update.

What you’ll see in HappyCo:

“A reason is required for Status”

How to fix it

HappyCo needs to know which reason to send for each status that requires one. You can’t set these reasons in HappyCo yourself.

Step 1. In Yardi, find which work order statuses require a reason and which reasons are valid for each one. Your Yardi Administrator can help with this.

Step 2. Contact HappyCo Support or your HappyCo Customer Experience Manager with the reason you want HappyCo to send for each of those statuses. Include:

  • Each Yardi status that requires a reason
  • The reason you want sent for that status, spelled exactly as it appears in Yardi

Step 3. HappyCo turns on status reasons for your Yardi integration and adds the reasons you sent.

After that, work orders in those statuses sync to Yardi with the reasons you chose. If you later require a reason for another status in Yardi, send HappyCo the reason for that status too.
