Overview

This error shows up when HappyCo sends a work order to Yardi for a unit whose unit code no longer exists at that property in Yardi.

It usually happens after a unit code changes in Yardi. HappyCo adds the new code as a new unit, but the unit with the old code stays in HappyCo. The same apartment then shows up twice in your unit list, and Yardi rejects any work order created on the old unit.

What you’ll see in HappyCo:

“Could not find Unit”

How to fix it

Fixing this takes two parts: move the work order now as a workaround, then have HappyCo merge the old unit so it stops showing up.

Part 1: Move the work order to the correct unit

Step 1. Open the work order in HappyCo and change its location to the one that matches the current unit code in Yardi.

If you’re not sure which unit is correct, look up the apartment in Yardi and use the unit code shown there.

Part 2: Ask HappyCo to merge the old unit

Until HappyCo merges the old unit, it stays in your unit list and new work orders can still be created on it. HappyCo merges the old unit into the new one so the unit’s history stays together and only the correct unit remains.

HappyCo can’t always tell from the codes alone which new unit replaced an old one, so we need you to confirm it. Contact HappyCo Support with:

  • The property name
  • Each affected unit’s old unit code and new unit code, as they appear in Yardi
  • Whether other unit codes at the property changed at the same time

If you plan to change unit codes in Yardi, let HappyCo Support know ahead of time so we can merge the units before work orders start failing.
